The Plight - Black Summer

Second 'proper' release and getting much better. You know what you're getting with The Plight. Probably one of the best bands patrolling the UK right now. 'Clarendon' kicks the record into shape straight away, probably the strongest on record, excluding the two re-recorded 'Ball and Chain', and 'Lifestyle' -whose inclusion is fairly unneccesary 'cos I always think it's better to just write more songs instead of making old ones better. Either way, The Plight are awesome; awesome dudes, great fun. Watching them at a house show a few months back is probably one of my fondest memories of the whole year. So yeah, if you're into rock'n'roll with gritty vocals sans bullshit, go for The Plight. - Nick [Visible Noise]
